- I got the rest of this info from Kezia.Ron’s guide, so S/O to her, I am just listing the most important info: - In the game, players collect PlayPoints (TapAdventure Playpoints + PHA Playpoints) x Multiplier) - these determine your final ADVTR token allocation - TapAdventure Playpoint (the Telegram) game will be determined by your stage progression as of tomorrow

- Players can claim Mystery Key Fragments daily for free, used to open Mystery Key Boxes, which contain Summoning Stones, MGOLD, and PlayPoints - The daily claims are launching in less than a day (Play to Mint on the website)
- Summoning Stones are used to mint Pixel HeroZ NFTs (with costs in MGOLD), completing a collection of HeroZ grants additional buffs and a multiplier to your points

- 5M of ADVTR tokens is going to the Faction Competition, these rewards are divided into Participation and Competitive Rewards - Participation: Faction Point/Total Sum of Action Points

- Guild Wars are starting on the 28th of September

MARKET TALK
GAMING TAKEAWAYS FROM TOKEN2049
- As everybody knows, Token2049 happened in Singapore last week. Here are some highlighted gaming takeaways from attendees + my own takeaways: - Tack, the founder of Jin Anomaly shared: - Funding in the gaming vertical remains difficult, many investors are wary about capped valuations that won’t be able to do the multiples
- CATI and HMSTR being listed on Binance (leading to high valuations) will help bring back the gaming narrative and justify VCs investing in games
- Investors starting to appreciate that Web3 gaming doesn’t always have to be a yield farm. The convergence towards quality into Web2 standards is happening, but takes time

- Hunter Solaire shared: - TON/Telegram games make a ton of money by selling ads or making airdrops pay to win
- The most hyped games include Off the Grid and MapleStory
- Lots of hope for the largest Web3 names launching tokens soon or in Q4

- LINE is actively looking for (game) builders for their Web3 initiative
- Gaming sentiment is carefully positive. Web3 gaming progressed a lot, but the most largely anticipated games are still in development
- There are a couple of fresh Asian indie studios that are making interesting games, and experimenting with bending genres (e.g. Jin Anomaly and Spot Zero)

- Oh…and lastly, crypto bros like to party and do degen stuff unsurprisingly. I prefer networking events in accessible venues, where you can have a good conversation
“PAY TO AIRDROP”
- Last week 1mpal published an article titled “New Web3 Game Meta: Pay to Airdrop”, I recommend reading it - The concept he talks about and I have seen a few others mention before, comes down to giving paying users the majority of your airdrop value - He uses the example of Catizen, which gave paying users 2x to 3x more rewards on average, reportedly

- Pay to Airdrop, or as I would like to call it: “Pay to Progress to Earn More” has been developing for the past months I’d say - Mostly in the form of Season Passes, but you could argue the same applies to giving NFT holders multipliers and bonuses as well
- It has also been out there in a P2E format in Big Time for example. - To compete for the high leaderboard ranks and earn substantial rewards, players need to spend tokens to keep up

- From the surface “Pay to Airdrop” might seem predatory, but it optimizes to distribute value towards the players that provide the most value (in $s) - We all know almost all airdrop farmers dump tokens post-TGE, creating lots of selling pressure
- Games can start to leverage P2As as effective monetization events - The most important, but heavily overlooked metric in this space, “REVENUE” will become much more important moving forward

- Lastly, the important lesson in prioritizing paying users is to set expectations because that’s where Catizen failed to inform their audience well I believe
ON THE RISE
- Spot Zero is an upcoming Genshin-like ARPG - I quickly tested the game and the combat feels good I must say

- Brydisanto (from Infinigods) sheds light on what the Mount of Olympus is - TL:DR it’s a Web3 LiveOps platform distributing both virtual and crypto rewards
- Recently, Infinigod Passes also hit ATH

- Jarindr is shilling Zentry hard, but I can’t blame him - The next 6 months seem to be stacked with updates and launches
