Aavegotchi introduced Geist, a new L3 built with Arbitrum Orbit, Base, and the Alchemy Platform
Geist won’t be an ordinary L3, but one where “membership is limited”. Anyone will be able to play games, but only members can earn rewards
This approach aims to combat the problems of the typical open network, where bad actors can create 1000s of bots to farm rewards
Membership rewards come in the form of airdrops, GAs, exclusive events, and more
To join you need to be an Aavegotchi NFT holder (1 Aavegotchi = 1 NFT) or you can be invited by having an “excellent on-chain history” after signing up and minting the new Geist OE
The Geist platform will include features such as a native NFT marketplace, CEX onramps, account abstraction, staking, and various tools for devs
TAKEDOWN LEGENDS
Takedown Legends (TL) is a new game by Fried Chicken Labs
It’s a mobile top-down shooter that uses MOBA mechanics (comparable to Brawl Stars). The game has been in development for 3 years now
TL has already accumulated 1.6M pre-registrations, 70K DAUs (the game is already launched locally), and is planning a global launch in Q4 ‘24
The game is “powered by” SNACK, a LATAM-based Web3 investing and building community, that’s backed by Animoca, Merit Circle, Mechanisms Capital, and others
They raised $7M on July 17 ‘24
This website also mentions SNACK is part of the Ronin Ecosystem, I am not sure if it’s true, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were
MYSTERY FOUNDATION
The Mystery Society announced the creation of The Mystery Foundation (TMF), this means we can expect a token launch campaign soon
