OFF THE GRID ON PS5
Off the Grid launched its Pioneer’s Playtest on PS5 last weekend, marking the milestone of being the first Web3-enabled game on console
The game has also been confirmed to launch on XBOX and PC
During the closed playtest (that lasted under 24 hours) the game saw 400K transactions and 30K players.
Transactions are made when players claim their free HEX skin, trade items, or open a loot box, all happening in the in-game marketplace (powered by Avax)
The Gunzilla nodes decode all the loot boxes that have NFTs in them
Payton mentioned how Off the Grid will flood the timeline once the NDA that is currently in place is lifted
Overall, this is a remarkable milestone for this space, and it’s pushing the boundaries of Web3 gaming breaking into the mainstream
AUTO LEGENDS RAISED $8M
Auto Legends (AL) announced they raised $8M in a round, backed by White Star Capital, Sfermion, LiquidX, and other VCs
AL is a drag racing game, where players can assume different roles that surround this ecosystem. E.g. be a racer, host tournaments, provide tuning services, build and sell parts, run a car dealership, etc.
It’s not only about racing but creating a meta layer (game economy) around the sport
The game will launch on PC and mobile and is now in its Closed Alpha testing stage on Epic (gameplay)
The team building AL has a strong background in game making and worked on other successful race titles such as Nitto 1320 Legends, Car Town, and Racing Rivals
More specifically, they are also experienced in “straight-line racing”/drag race genre
SEEDWORLD WHITEPAPER RELEASE
Seedworld released its WP 1.0 in a recent announcement, unveiling new, previously undisclosed details. Here are some of the highlights:
“Beyond the Keep” will be the first game mode coming to the platform
A competitive survival game that will set the foundation of future game modes
This mode will be launched on the 26th of February 2025, together with the Land Creator Mode
SWORLD will be the primary token of the Seedworld ecosystem:
Ame is the in-game virtual currency in Seedworld, generated by converting and burning SWORLD
SWORLD is used to purchase lands and future collections and cosmetics
Upgrades to lands and nodes require SWORLD
There will be a monthly Battle Pass that can be purchased with SWORLD, which will enhance rewards and give exclusive access
Tokenomics:
1.2% early bonus, 15% to NFT staking, 7% to community airdrop, 27.5% to Node Incentives, 8% to Liquidity Farming
TGE will happen on the 26th of September
