(P2A) EVENTS & SOCIALFI
PARTY ICONS CB1
After announcing their $9M raise last week, Party Icons follows up with the announcement of CB1, kicking off on Nov 6
Here’s what you need to know about the event":
CB1 will include God Mode, a holder-exclusive mode within the Party Heist game
The mode will feature a leaderboard and prize pool
Party Heist will now have Elixir Sessions, which are accessible via tickets
Elixir is earned during the match by opening chests and guarantees a payout at the end
During the mode, players earn Partybox progress points
Players can assign their heroes to “mining areas” to gather Mirblite.
Mirblite is crafted into Mirble, used to craft Partyboxes, participate in events, and converts into the PARTY token
New players will receive 8 starter heroes, they can be purchased in the in-game market, and obtained via Partyboxes or Carnival Events
Lastly, there are Phase 1 quests (live since yesterday until Dec 5), the invite and social quests will be ongoing
Completing quests earns you Party Points, which are redeemable for Alpha Boxes
These are limited to 10,000, and grant the player alpha talent (enhance in-game mining and combat), talent shards (combine shards to create talent, and Mirble
Party Points can be manually claimed after each quest, and can be redeemed for Alpha Boxes or exchanged for PARTY tokens in the future
This is important to consider regarding your player activity, as spending on Alpha Boxes increases your earning potential

MARKET TALK
WHAT’S PROJECT O?
A couple of days ago, Project O suddenly popped up, Koin Games’ first launch
What’s Koin Games?
A cracked team of gaming vets, co-founded by Kevin Lambert, Michael Marr, and Timothy Jooste
Kevin worked on multiple games but designed the multiplayer mode in Microsoft Solaire (this is important)
Michael Marr was a technical director at Glu
Timothy is the CEO and doesn’t have a background in gaming, but he seems to be the face of Koin Games
The team has been around since the first “GameFi cycle” of 2021 and has been building Project O for 16 months now
There isn’t much info available on the game itself, however, their website tells us a few things:
It’s a card game that tries to shake things up with 3D cards, real ownership, and fresh game mechanics
“Say hello to 3D cards that can be evolved into hundreds of thousands of cosmetic combinations”
Ownership will be “experiential” (I assume dynamic and gamified)
Players will be able to design and play w/ their own cards
“mass-market card game” - so I assume gameplay will be more in line with something like Marvel Snap
Lastly, the site mentions: “Are you a worthy collector” and “reveal your score in” this many days, hours, etc.
This countdown seems to be linked to the release date of their exclusive pre-season party
I bet they will use a programmatic WL system to determine who can participate (similar to what Today did)
But there are already tons of (shit) TCGs in this space. Why’s that?
Firstly, because of the great genre fit in terms of ownership, collecting, and ultimately aligning with existing behaviors
Secondly, because they are relatively easy to develop
Will this team have a chance to break into this highly competitive, IP-driven, and cemented market? I think they have a good chance…
“FARMING A FRENTLY FUTURE”
A couple of days ago Kliuless, the CEO and founder of Farm Frens, a farming-based Telegram game, released an interesting article on the Web3 playbook
The article introduces the idea of the blockchain gaming model being broken, specifically on-chain rewards:
P2A campaign > farmers come in > farmers dump tokens on TGE > no longevity
Kliuless says to change this narrative, “true fans should reap the handsomest rewards”, and to accomplish this he talks about their approach:
They put the collection at the forefront of their economic design
All the in-game collectibles (off-chain for now), will become mintable in the future as on-chain tokens when the time is right
“collecting rare items will provide greater trading opportunities as the game and community grows”
In essence, you create another layer of abstraction between playing Farm Frens and crypto incentives. This is less direct than points > airdrop
Abstraction > uncertainty about rewards > less interesting for bots = higher quality users/holders (?)
Additionally, they will have an ever-evolving meta that will advantage humans over bots in the long run
Lastly, the article mentions it will pioneer a new approach to bringing the spirit of NFT culture back
Their innovation “will integrate less fungible collectibles with more fungible currencies”
Meaning: NFTs and tokens will coexist in a more balanced way, each serving a separate role within the game’s economy, thus both creating demand (not tokens making NFTs redundant)
