(P2A) EVENTS & SOCIALFI
FABLEBORNE S3
Fableborne launched S3 of its P2A campaign, including new events and gameplay mechanics, and new ways to win rewards
This is the schedule for S3:
Nov 20: the season goes live and starts with campaign gameplay
Nov 21 - 28: 7-day PvP event
This event has a prize pool of 2.5M Gold Essence
Nov 28 - Dec 2: 4-day Siege Survival Event
This event also has a prize pool of 2.5M Gold Essence
Dec 2 - 5: 3-day endgame PvP Event (Ronin Rampage)
Dec 5 - 8: 3-day campaign
Make sure to claim all your rewards at the end of each event. Also, for every event only the top 10,000 players will be rewarded with Gold Essence
New reward system (Fortune Pass)
Players can buy a Fortune Pass this season for 10 RON
The pass increases the number of Fortune Keys and rewards earned, but it’s not mandatory to earn during this season
It will have a limited availability and seems worth it if you plan to participate in this campaign actively
As players progress the campaign they earn Fortune Keys, used to open chests, containing Gold Essence, POWER, Ronin Vouchers, Primordial Vouchers, and Axie NFTs
G7
A few days ago Phase 2 of G7’s Credits Campaign launched - there are 4 ways to win Credits (Credits = G7 token allocation):
Referrals: win a 20% credit bonus by referring friends
Fableborne Lootdrop: complete the 6 Fables (quests) and compete for the prize pool of 2M Power tokens, 2M Gold Essence, and Credits of course
The first two are only rewarded to the top players (top 10% and top 11-20%)
Also one of the better campaigns to acquire both Fableborne-native and G7 rewards for
Boomland Lootdrop: this opportunity expires in a couple of days, meaning there isn’t much of a point to start competing for the BOOM prize pool.
However, you can still complete the quests to get the 500 Credits
Compete in Factions: factions are competing for $50,000 and 37,500 Credits. By joining the Kronicles guild (code: RAIDEN) you earn additional rewards based on your participation

MARKET TALK
ZENTRY WP INSIGHTS
Recently Zentry released its whitepaper - let’s point out some of the highlights:
To make my job easier, Jarindr already posted a high-level TL:DR. I will provide a bit more context, using the contents of the whitepaper
Key highlights:
The play economy: the next evolution of P2E - gamification x real-world value
Economic engines: distribution, commerce, infrastructure, and treasury align economic incentives with user engagement
Metagame: creating the “Game of Games” ecosystem enabling a real-life MMORPG experience
ZENT’s Dual Value:
ZENT will both provide economic and utility value to players, not only rewarding holders but also incentivizing them to contribute
Economic value: staking rewards, restaking benefits, and buybacks
Utility value: in-world utilities, holder privileges, metagaming currency
The components of the Zentry universe:
Nexus: the social hub for Web3 and gaming culture
Radiant: the cross-platform metagame app, overlaying both Web2 and Web3 games
A gamification layer that creates your gamer's reputation
Vault: a dynamic reward program
Maxion: the Web3 publishing arm
Maxion studio: Maxion is Zentry’s flagship Web3 game publishing arm that aims to bring popular traditional gaming titles into Web3
So far the studio has done over $13M in revenue with more than 500K users, with 0 incentives or a (native) token. These numbers are driven by the success of Ragnarok Landverse
Ragnarok Landverse is the Web3 version of the original Ragnarok MMORPG
The studio has 4 more titles in the pipeline and will have a separate Maxion (MAXI) token in the future
Furthermore, Jarindr mentions in his Tweet there are plans to potentially acquire/partner more game studios
The Zentry Vault: there will be a dynamic staking mechanism, that allows users to stake (“infuse”) their ZENT tokens and generate fragments
The “infusion status” influences the yield power of in-game resources and exclusive opportunities to enhance the experience in the Nexus and Radiant
Fragments will be burnable to take a share of Vault Drop rewards, which will grow as Zentry’s investments, nodes, staking, and partnerships grow. I.e. rewards will be evolving
It’s a lot to digest, but overall, I am fairly bullish (NFA) on Zentry becoming a holistic gaming reputation, social, and earning platform that has the content and means to retain users
Importantly, they also want to make their holders win
UNDERSTANDING THE WEB3 GAMING MARKET
Yesterday, Kevin Lambert, one of the co-founders of Project O released an article called: Understanding the Web3 Gaming Market: Billy, Vinny, and Chad
It’s an interesting piece on understanding the user personas of this space and what the spectrum of motivations looks like
Here are some of the article’s highlights:
What’s a persona? It’s a way to separate people into categories based on who they are, what their needs and goals are, what their motivations are etc.
Lambert concludes there are 3 core personas and a couple of hybrids in Web3 gaming:
Billy: the traditional (Web2) gamer - his primary motivation is fun while playing games. He will spend money on buying games and IAPs or subscriptions
The enjoyment of this persona comes from experiences intrinsic to the game
Vinny: “Show me the money” - his primary motivation is profit. He thrives on speculation and seeks to maximize returns with minimal time investment
Games are primarily seen as investments, but he also cares about the quality of the games, especially the ones he invests in
Vinny participates in land sales, and airdrop campaigns, collects rare collectibles, and gets satisfaction when being right about an investment. The latter leads to the motivation to become an ambassador
Chad: “Games without ownership are what web2 is for.” - his primary motivation is fun, however this persona also has experience with blockchain and owns his wallets
He enjoys digital ownership for the experience and collects for social status
He places a higher value on being part of a growing community than Billy
Chads participate in DAOs, value collective decision-making, and community contribution
Furthermore, that are some hybrids of the aforementioned personas:
Vinny/Chad: the Web3 degen, P2E Guild member, and Web3 gamer
Billy/Vinny: pro gamer or content creator
In 2022 I read a different article on Web3 gaming personas by Nami, they categorized users under the following personas:
Inside of games: Killer, Socializer, Achiever, or Explorer (Bartle’s player types)
In open Web3 economies: The profit-maker, the collector, the early believer, the big spender, the rent taker, the rarity hunter, and the holder
Overall, it’s interesting to see how motivations will evolve, and ideally, more participants become interested in the tech, than just profits (Vinny > Chad)
Are you a Billy, Vinny, or Chad?
