🗞️ NEWS
TATSUMEEKO MIGRATES TO RONIN
After Jihoz teased us last week, the rumors turned out to be true: Tatsumeeko is joining the Ronin Ecosystem (migrating away from Solana)
Tatsumeeko is a F2P RPG and life sim, which will be part of Ronin Waypoint
Waypoint is a new initiative that allows a universal Ronin account and keyless wallet in the Ronin ecosystem, enabling you to sign in without extensions or seed phrases
Tatsumeeko has three components:
Lumina Hunt, Tatsu.GG, and Lumina Fates
Lumina Hunt is Tatsumeeko’s new Telegram game, a casual and idle version of the full game (Lumina Fates)
Players can collect Vabloons (off-chain points) later redeemable to TATSU
Tatsu.gg is the game’s Discord-based integration, which has integrated with over 1.5M Discord communities, and over 120M users
Lumina Fates is the full life-sim JRPG - open beta tests will be hosted over the next few months
Other background information on Tatsu:
Began as a community project back in 2011
The studio originated from a community of volunteers
The studio raised $7.5M from investors such as Delphi, BITKRAFT, and Binance Labs
Earlier this year they organized the “Uncharted Dream” event, a combination of SocialFi and P2A
FLAPPY BIRD IN WEB3
After being removed a decade ago, Flappy Bird returns, but in Web3
The founder said he had nothing to do with the revival of the game and “did not sell anything”
It seems, GameTech Holdings LLC successfully managed to terminate Nguyen’s (the creator) Flappy Bird trademark a couple of years ago
To my understanding, this revival is a recreation of the game
Flappy Bird is now playable as a Telegram game and is being published by Notcoin. As one of the OG tapping games, this seems like a perfect fit, right?
Players can participate in the FLAP-a-TON event to collect Flappy tokens
There seem to be plans to expand the game through cosmetics, new game modes, and progression systems (to monetize)
This push into Web3 does seem kind of forceful, people are not happy with this decision, and community notes on Twitter are already doing their work
However, this is not something new, we’ve seen a couple of Web3 versions of the game launch over the past years e.g. FlappyBird Go
G7 RELEASES ITS MANIFESTO
G7 released its Manifesto (litepaper) last week. “Game7 is an on chain gaming nation where both players and developers win”
The paper covers a lot of aspects, here are some of the highlights:
G7 will be a 6-pillar nation structure (governance, economy, education, tech, culture, and adaptability)
G7’s tech stack includes Summon HQ, Hyperplay, World Builders, and the G7 network
80% of the value of the economy will flow to the Citizen Pool, 20% of the value goes to the Game7 Treasury
Value includes G7 tokens, partnership rewards, lootdrop reserves, gaming NFT, and more
The economy will use a merit-based reward system, rewarding Citizens for their contributions in time, skills, and ideas
The G7 token will be the primary value capture, governance multiplier, and network currency
Players can stake tokens to collect Diamonds and redeem G7 Boxes
Diamonds will serve as the key to unlock rewards from the Citizen Pool
Players will be able to accumulate G7 tokens and tokens from affiliated games and networks
Yesterday, Linea also launched the Guild Games initiative in collaboration with G7 and Hyperplay
A 9-day event: Find your guild, game as a community, compete in daily challenges, win in-game assets, earn points for your guild, and spend or distribute guild prizes as a community
